Sue Ellen Elowsky, 77, of Hillman passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Orchard Manor Assisted Living.
Sue Ellen Bahrke was born in Pontiac on January 27, 1946, to the late Erick and Eleanor (Lockwood) Bahrke. She married Hardy Elowsky on June 12, 1965. Sue worked various jobs throughout her lifetime and retired from Northeast Michigan Community Mental Health in 2013.
Sue moved to Hillman during her high school years and lived with her Aunt Nora and Uncle Henry Steinke. While going to school in Hillman, is where she met her husband. She loved picking blueberries, gardening, and tending to her flowers. Sue was always busy doing something. She loved to bake. Sue was a kind loving person. She always said if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. Treat others the way you would want to be treated. She was a loving wife, an amazing mother, and an awesome grandmother. Sue always had a smile on her face. She was our angel here on earth and saw the good in everyone.
Our beautiful loving angel has gone home to her Lord and Savior in heaven. You are missed already. You will forever and always will be in our hearts.
Surviving are her husband, Hardy; daughter, Michelene (Doug) Kenyon; daughter-in-law, Kari (Elowsky) Connor; two grandchildren, Katelyn (Edward) Tucker, Kristen (Zachery) Fessler; three great grandchildren, Vivian Fessler, Noah Fessler, Jason Tucker; five siblings, Beverly Hill, Linda Hill, David Bahrke, Fred Lothrop, and Gary Hill.
Sue was preceded in death by her son, Jason Elowsky; grandchild, Quinn Elowsky; two sisters, Arleta Coleman and Brenda Hill.
Visitation will take place Monday at St. John Lutheran Church, Royston from 4-7 p.m. and continue there Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jason Mandley officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
