Operation Holidays 2022

It’s time once again for Operation Toys for Kids with the Vietnam Vets Chapter 583.  Their efforts continue to collect unwrapped toys and money donations to make sure that kids in the our area have a a Merry Christmas!  Their motto is No Child Left Behind!

Their headquarters is next to the former Neiman’s Family Market in Alpena in the Thunder Bay Shopping Center.  They are there daily from 8am until 8pm to take donations.  They need donations for ages newborn to 17 years.  Unwrapped toys, hats, gloves books, puzzles, and games are all needed or you can make a monetary donation. True North Radio Network will be at the following locations collecting donations.  Some locations will also have a bake sale. 

  • Thursday, December 1st at Bishop Chevrolet in Rogers City from 10am until 2pm, courtesy of Allegra Alpena and Beck Funeral Home
  • Friday, December 2nd at Wolverine State Credit Union on Chisholm Street in Alpena from 10am until 2pm, courtesy of ServiceMaster Home and Office
  • Monday, December 5th at Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union on Bagley Street in Alpena
  • Tuesday, December 6th at Wolverine State Credit Union on Bagley Street in Alpena, courtesy of Northern Collision and Auto Repair
  • Wednesday, December 7th at Nicolet Bank on Ripley in Alpena
  • Thursday, December 8th at Presque Isle Electric and Gas in Onaway thanks to Presque Isle Electric and Gas and Brewbakers Housing and RV
  • Friday, December 9th at Dean Arbor Ford in Alpena thanks to Ball Tire, J and S Auto, and Dean Arbor Ford
