Nancy Jane Chrzan

Nancy Jane Chrzan, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away
peacefully in the early hours of August 28th, 2023. Born on June 13th, 1945, in Rogers City,
Michigan, she leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and a compassion for her friends and
family.
Nancy was a woman of remarkable kindness and generosity, a true matriarch who dedicated her
life to nurturing and caring for her family, friends & neighbors. Her boundless love and affection
enriched the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, leaving an indelible
mark on their hearts.
One of Nancy’s greatest joys in life was her love for baking and confectionery. Her kitchen was a
haven of delicious aromas, where she whipped up an array of treats that brought smiles to
countless faces. Her cookies, pies, and jams were more than just desserts; they were tokens of
her love and an embodiment of her nurturing spirit. During the holidays she would spend
countless hours preparing trays for her many friends and family. The legacy of her delectable
creations will live on through the cherished memories of shared family gatherings and the sweet
tastes that will forever remind us of her.
In addition to her role as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nancy took
immense pride in her job as a Besser School Grandma. She lovingly cared for kindergarten and
first-grade students, fostering a sense of comfort and security in the young minds she touched.
Her dedication to education and the well-being of these children was a testament to her nurturing
nature and her commitment to making her community a better place for all youth.
Nancy’s warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering support were a source of strength for her family
and friends. Her memory will forever be cherished as a beacon of love and compassion.
Nancy is survived by her three sons David, Douglas & Duane Chrzan, daughter-in-law Holly
Chrzan, her grandson she fostered & wife Christopher & Larissa Chrzan, her grandchildren
Nicole, Tyler & Regina Chrzan, her great grandchildren Kyland, Maverick, Lennox, Camdyn,
Aubry & Cassius, her brother Elden Brege, sisters Marilyn Lefave & Elaine Bisson, Sister-in-law
Germaine Brege, & Lifelong friend Vicki Thrasher.
Nancy is proceeded in death by her parents William & Caroline Brege, husband Kenneth Chrzan,
Companion Harry Jaeger; whom she’d shared her happiest years with, sisters Bertha Hopp &
Violet Schellie, brother Herbert Brege, & daughter-in-law Lonna Kowalski.
Family will receive friends for visitation at Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home on Thursday
August 31, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. until the time of funeral service at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. John
