MSP gears up for annual Stuff a Blue Goose collection drives

The Michigan State Police (MSP) is gearing up for its annual Stuff a Blue Goose collection drives.

Through the campaign, state police collect non-perishable food, toiletries and unwrapped toys for children and others in need.

Locally, the event helps residents of Alcona, Alpena, Oscoda and Presque Isle counties.

State Police refer to a patrol vehicle as a Blue Goose. Those vehicles will be stationed outside the Alpena Walmart on Saturday, (DEC 10) collecting items from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All items collected will be turned over to the Salvation Army for distribution to less fortunate families.
