Huron Pines filling Americorps & technician positions in Alpena & Mio

The non-profit conservation group Huron Pines is accepting applications for Heartland and Coastal Restoration Technicians, as well as half-term service positions in its Americorps programs.

Technicians will implement restoration projects across aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems in Northeast Michigan. The seasonal positions come with anticipated employment dates of May 15 to November 16. Alternate dates are available to accommodate schooling needs.

Heartland Restoration Technicians will be based at Huron Pines’ office in Gaylord, while Coastal Restoration Technicians will be based out of Alpena.

Huron Pines is also accepting applications for half-term service positions within its AmeriCorps program at five service sites, including the Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan in Alpena, and the U.S. Forest Service, Huron-Manistee National Forest in Mio.

The positions are for a fishery heritage volunteer organizer at the museum, and an outreach coordinator for the forest service.
