Three runners from northeast Michigan participated in the state finals for high school cross country Friday.

Five runners from Alpena High School and one from Alcona have qualified for regional competition in cross country action.
Cross country teams from Alpena High School and Alcona High School competed at an invitational in West Branch Saturday.
In girls volleyball from Wednesday: Alpena was swept by Traverse City West 18-25, 16-25, and 13-25 Onaway swept Bellaire 26-24, 25-21, and 25-21
