A total of 81 complaints were called into the Montmorency County Sheriff’s Office over the week.
Deputies responded to a vehicle-elk accident on M-33 in Briley Township last week Monday, around 9 p.m. The driver was not injured. It is not known if the elk was hurt.
A verbal dispute was reported in Albert Township Friday afternoon. Deputies responded to the scene but one of the suspects left the residence on foot before they arrived. A search of the area was conducted but deputies were unable to locate the suspect.
And shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, 911 received a call about a man attempting to flag people down near Homestead Trail off of M-32. A deputy found the man and learned he had been in an accident but was not injured. The man was subsequently arrested and jailed for drunk driving.
Deputies also made one traffic arrest over the week, and picked up another person on an outstanding warrant.
