DHD#4 COVID‐19 vaccination update

DHD4 has added a Pre‐Registration Vaccination Request link to its website – www.dhd4.org/covid19vaccine.

We are asking everyone who is eligible and able, please use this option before calling.

Although pre‐registration does not confirm an appointment, it does get an individual in the queue. Once an appointment is ready to be scheduled, DHD4 staff will call with the date/time/location options. Due to the inconsistent vaccine supply, currently, spots are limited, but we are actively creating many more opportunities.

DHD4 hopes to have an additional 3,600 first dose appointments by the end of January – early February.

IMPORTANT: ALL clinics are by appointment only and walk‐ins will not be accepted. PLEASE, DO NOT show up to any DHD4 office or clinic without a scheduled appointment.

Residents who cannot access the online registration should call to inquire about appointments at 989‐ 356‐4507. Please be patient as we are handling thousands of appointment calls and pre‐registration requests.

As of Wednesday morning, DHD4 has administered approximately 600 doses across the four‐county jurisdiction for the 1A priority group, which includes some second doses which are being administered this week. There are still many in 1A that need to be vaccinated.

Additionally, since the required opening of the 1B priority group on Monday, January 11th and as of Wednesday, January 13th, DHD4 has scheduled over 1,500 first dose appointments and has received approximately 2,500 pre‐registration requests.

Updated 1B Priority group includes:
• Age 65 and up
• Front Line workers including:
‐ Fire, Police (state and local)
‐ Corrections and County Jail Workers
‐ Childcare workers
‐ Pre‐K through 12 teachers and those staff in schools who have direct contact with Children

DHD4 will be focusing on these priority groups for those that live or work within the DHD4 four‐county area. Thank you for your patience as we plan through all of the complexities of changing guidance and limited vaccine allocations. We regret that not everyone can be vaccinated immediately.

Not only are there thousands of people waiting to receive their first dose of the COVID‐19 vaccine, but now there are many who are ready to receive their second dose. Due to the time‐sensitive nature of receiving the second dose, DHD4 continues to schedule second doses and has been assured that second doses are reserved.

Please Note: We are not taking or responding to vaccination appointment requests by voicemail or emails. DHD4 will continue to notify the public of additional clinic dates and vaccine availability via press release, social media, and our website www.dhd4.org/covid19vaccine.
