Alcona kids back to school Thursday after quarantine lifted

PRESS RELEASE FROM ALCONA COMMUNITY SCHOOLS:

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Alcona Community Schools was notified that the NEMSCA Headstart classroom and the “Horse” bus quarantine has been lifted.

Students and staff impacted are able to return to school on October 1st.

District Health Department No. 2 will contact all stakeholders impacted to personally inform them about the change in circumstances. Confidentiality (or HIPAA/FERPA) laws prevent us from providing any personally-identifying information to those impacted.

Alcona Community Schools is collaborating with the District Health Department No. 2 to ensure that all precautions have been taken to protect your child(ren). The district will continue to proceed with our academic and extracurricular programming.

Please monitor your child(ren) for the onset of symptoms related to COVID-19, including fever, cough, difficulty breathing, headache, diarrhea, new fatigue, or loss of taste or smell. If you notice any change in your child’s health, please keep them home and call your regular medical provider.
