The League of Women Voters of Northeast Michigan is hosting three public forums over the next two weeks for residents who want to learn more about the candidates they will be voting for in November.
Another forum in Rogers City was cancelled following a lack of responses from candidates in Presque Isle County.
The first of two forums in Alpena will be held Tuesday, starting at 6:30 p.m. It will feature contested races for judge of the 26th Circuit Court, prosecutor and Alpena Public Schools board members.
Wednesday’s forum, which also starts at 6:30 p.m., will feature candidates in contested races for county commissioner and Alpena Township supervisor.
A Hubbard Lake forum will feature candidates from Alcona County who are in contested races. It will be held inside the Hubbard Lake Community Building on Monday, October 5 at 6:30 p.m.
All three forums will be streamed live on the League of Women Voters Facebook page.
