Officials from District Health Department No. 4 say someone who stayed at a northern Michigan hotel and someone who attended a wedding followed by a reception in Hillman have tested positive for COVID-19.

It is not known if the exposure came from a one person or more.

Individuals who were at Northwood Lodge in Indian River late Friday night through noon on Saturday should monitor themselves for virus symptoms for 14 days.

People who attended a wedding at The National Shrine of the Cross in the Woods in Indian River Saturday afternoon, or attended the subsequent reception at the Hillman Community Center Saturday night may have also been exposed to the virus and should self-quarantine and monitor for symptoms for 14 days.

Individuals who develop symptoms should seek a doctor and consider COVID-19 testing.
