Deputies with the Montmorency County Sheriff’s Office were busy last week, responding to 114 calls for help.

A deputy spoke with a Hillman Township resident last Tuesday about a trespassing and possible larceny incident. No details have been released as the investigation continues.

A Briley Township woman called police early Saturday morning to report that an intoxicated man attempted to enter her home Friday night, but eventually left. Police caught up with the suspect but the victim did not want to press charges.

And a 42 year-old man was arrested and jailed around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, for driving drunk on an all-terrain vehicle on County Road 612 in Albert township.
