Police take calls for burglary, domestic assault & stalking

Deputies with the Alcona County Sheriff’s Office responded to calls for burglary, domestic violence and stalking over the week.

There were also four complaints for fraud and threats or harassment, three for civil disputes, two for larceny and one each for entering without permission and a dog bite.

The department fielded a total of 120 calls for help.

Deputies made three arrests – one for drunk driving and two on outstanding warrants. They were also on scene of 10 traffic crashes, including eight between cars and deer.

Residents of Harrisville and Alcona Township placed the most calls to police.
