Drivers in Michigan saw prices at the pumps drop a couple of pennies over the week.

AAA says the new statewide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is about $2.13, down two cents.

Of the cities it surveys, AAA found the cheapest price for gas in Traverse City where it’s about $2 per gallon. The highest average of $2.27 was found in Marquette.

As of early Tuesday morning, motorists in the Alpena area were paying an average of about $2.03 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel, the same as one week ago.

AAA is expecting gas prices to fluctuate throughout the rest of the summer due to concerns over COVID-19.
