The Alpena County Prosecutor’s Office is back at full strength following the recent hiring of a new assistant prosecutor.

Megan McKeon, a recent graduate of Cooley Law School and a Lake Orion native has been added to the team.

“Ms. McKeon’s prior experience and passion for prosecutorial work, along with her excellent schoolwork and glowing recommendations, put her a step above the other applicants,” said prosecutor Cynthia Muszynski. “We are all very excited for her to join our team and provide this county with the high standard of justice, integrity, and equality that we expect here.”

McKeon received her undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University. She graduated from Cooley in January and sat for the bar exam in February.

In addition to Muszynski and McKeon, the office consists of Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Nancy Ward, and contracted Assistant Prosecutor Russ Rhynard.
