Alpena Public Schools has received two offers on the newest home in Wildcat Court, less than two weeks after the house hit the market.

The board of education’s finance committee Thursday, accepted the higher of the two offers, $252,000 on the 1,900 square-foot home, or $2,000 above the listing price of $250,000.

The offer is expected to be accepted by the full board when it meets Monday evening.

Approximately 60 students and two teachers completed the home over a three-year period through the high school’s building trades program. There are now five student-built houses in Wildcat Court, which can accommodate up to 12.

Over the years, a total of 32 homes have been completed through the high school program.
