Deputies with the Montmorency County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shoplifting incident over the week, some domestic disputes, and a couple of drunk drivers.

An investigation is ongoing into a shoplifting incident at Freddie’s Family Market in Atlanta. Police were sent there Tuesday morning.

That same day deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Hillman. The parties were separated and no arrests were made.

Late Wednesday night officers were sent to another domestic dispute, this one on Bay Street in Albert Township. Police were unable to contact the caller and it appeared a vehicle had recently left the residence. No other details were released.

A possible breaking and entering on Livingston Street in Hillman was called into the sheriff’s office early Friday. The incident remains under investigation.

An Albert Township resident called police early Saturday morning after a vehicle went off the road and into his yard. When deputies arrived on scene the driver was gone. He was eventually located and arrested for drunk driving.

And a snowmobiler was jailed Saturday afternoon after a conservation officer with the Department of Natural Resources pulled him over and found him to be intoxicated. The man was also charged with not having a valid driver’s license.
