A 33 year-old Ossineke man could be headed back to prison after recently pleading guilty to a drug charge.

Christopher Stirling Crandall admitted in court that he was guilty of conspiracy to possess methamphetamine.

In October 2019, police pulled over Crandall’s pickup truck in Alpena Township. A search of the truck yielded an unknown quantity of meth.

As part of a settlement agreement, a second count of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed; and Crandall will not be sentenced as a habitual offender – 4th offense.

Crandall is still on parole from a 2017 conviction for conspiracy to deliver or manufacture methamphetamine and conspiracy to operate or maintain a meth lab.

Sentencing on the new charge is scheduled for February 3.
