A 50 year-old mid-Michigan man is due in court in the slaying and mutilation of a man he met online.

A probable cause hearing was scheduled Wednesday in 66th District Court in Corunna for Mark Latunski.

Latunski was arraigned December 30 on open murder and disinterment and mutilation of a body charges.

The naked body of 25 year-old Kevin Bacon was found December 28 hanging from the ceiling of Latunski’s Bennington Township home. Court records show Latunski admitted to stabbing Bacon in the back, slitting his throat and eating parts of his body.

Latunski’s public defender is seeking an insanity defense in the case.
