Curbside pickup of yard waste next week

Crews for the City of Alpena will be conducting the final curbside pickup of the year next week, for bagged grass, leaves and other yard waste.


Brush will not be collected.


The service will start Monday and continue through Thursday. A schedule of where crews will be each day can be viewed below.


Bags should be placed at the curb no earlier than two days before your scheduled pickup day, and no later than 6 a.m. on the pickup day.


The Public Works Service Center on Long Lake Avenue is open Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for drop-off of bagged yard waste. The center does not accept brush.





Monday, November 11

The area east of Ripley Boulevard and south of Washington Avenue.


Tuesday, November 12

The area north of the river and east of Chisholm Street, from Fourteenth Avenue to the City limits.


Wednesday, November 13

The area west of Ripley Boulevard and south of Washington Avenue.


Thursday, November 14

The area north of Washington Avenue and west of US-23/Chisholm Street, to the City limits.
