Crews to pick up bagged yard material curbside

Crews for the City of Alpena will pick up bagged yard waste next week, starting Monday and continuing through Thursday.


The curbside pickup is for bagged grass, leaves and other yard waste and does not include brush.


A schedule of where crews will be each day can be viewed below.


Materials should be placed at the curb no earlier than two days before your scheduled pickup day.


Residents who miss the pickup can also drop their yard waste off at the city’s public works service center on Long Lake Avenue, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center does not accept brush.




Monday, October 21

The area east of Ripley Boulevard and south of Washington Avenue.


Tuesday, October 22

The area north of the river and east of Chisholm Street, from Fourteenth Avenue to the City limits.


Wednesday, October 23

The area west of Ripley Boulevard and south of Washington Avenue.


Thursday, October 24

The area north of Washington Avenue and west of US-23/Chisholm Street, to the City limits.
