Alpena man arrested on multiple drug charges

The Huron Undercover Narcotics Team (HUNT) last month arrested an Alpena man for multiple drug related charges.

Carl Dale Standen, 40, of Alpena was taken in to custody on September 18th following a nearly 5 month investigation.

Detectives from HUNT made multiple controlled purchases of narcotics from Standen’s residence on West Washington Avenue over the months prior to the arrest.

On the date of his arrest, HUNT detectives and officers from the Alpena City Police Department located Standen at his residence and placed him in to custody. There were 7 minor children in the house during the arrest.

A 15-year-old girl, who was not related to Standen, fled on foot and was apprehended after entering an unlocked building. She was lodged in a juvenile detention facility after a hearing in probate court.

Standen was charged with one count of delivery of methamphetamine, one count of a delivery of a schedule IV narcotic, one count of delivery of schedule I, II, and III narcotics, possession of analogues, maintaining a drug house, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Standen was lodged in the Alpena County Jail and was later released after posting bond.
