Alcona deputies respond to missing person, burglary, child abuse & more

A missing person, burglary and child abuse were some of the complaints phoned into the Alcona Sheriff’s Office last week.

Residents filed 129 calls for help with the department.

There were also two calls for sexual assault, three for fraud, two for larceny, two for domestic violence, and one each for gun shots fired, assault and battery, threats, and minor in possession of alcohol.

Deputies arrested two people for drunk driving and also picked up two fugitives on outstanding warrants. They were also on scene of 13 auto accidents, including 10 between cars and deer.

Resident of Alcona and Caledonia townships placed the most calls to police over the week.
