209 drunk drivers arrested during Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign

A total of 209 drunk drivers were arrested during the most recent Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign in Michigan.

Law enforcement officers from 93 police departments, sheriff offices, and Michigan State Police (MSP) posts increased patrols across the state during the end-of-summer campaign, which ran from August 14 – September 2.

The campaign was aimed at reducing injuries and fatalities on state roads and highways.

Preliminary reports indicate 9,105 traffic stops were made during the campaign period. In addition to the drunk driving arrests, officers issued 1,159 speeding citations and 35 child restraint citations. They also made 116 felony arrests.
