Dole Fresh Vegetables announces recall of baby spinach

Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. is voluntarily recalling a limited number of cases of baby spinach due to a possible health risk from salmonella.

The products being recalled are 6 ounce Dole Baby Spinach in a bag, and 10 ounce Dole Baby Spinach clamshell.

Both products have a use by date of August 5, 2019. Lot and UPS codes can be viewed below.

The spinach was sold in Michigan and nine other states.

The precautionary recall notification was issued after a sample of baby spinach tested positive for salmonella in Michigan. Salmonella is an organism that can cause foodborne illness in a person who eats a food item contaminated with it.

No other Dole products are included in the recall and no illnesses have been reported in association with the baby spinach.


6 ounce Dole Baby Spinach bag with a Lot code of W20308A, and a UPC code of 0-71430-00964-2.

10 ounce Dole Baby Spinach clamshell with a Lot code of W203010 and a UPC code of 0-71430-00016-8.
