The Alpena Public Schools board of education held its annual organizational meeting Monday, to coincide with the new fiscal year that started July 1.

And the board will move through the new year relatively unchanged.

The board re-elected Gordon Snow president, elected Steven Donajkowski vice-president, and re-elected Mike Barnett treasurer. Lorie Kneeshaw will stay on as board secretary.

Donajkowski replaces Jackie Krawczak as vice president. Krawczak resigned from the board earlier this year.

The remaining board members include Stephanie Shafto, Thomas Hilberg, Stacey Parr and Ned Heath.

As part of the organizational meeting, the board selected legal firms, auditor, depositories for school funds and much more. Committee assignments for board members were also confirmed.

The board will continue to meet on the third Monday of each month, at 5:30 p.m.
