The Montmorency County Sheriff’s Office logged a total of 108 complaints over the week.

Deputies also made one arrest for a break in and picked up three people for drunk driving following traffic stops.

The break in occurred last Wednesday night in Hillman. Deputies were told that a suspicious man was behind the laundry mat. The 34 year-old man was arrested and jailed on charges of breaking & entering and malicious destruction of property.

A 48 year-old man was charged with operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop during the early morning hours Saturday, in Briley Township.

And, shortly after 1 a.m. Monday, a deputy came upon an unoccupied vehicle in a ditch on M-32 with footprints leading down Baker Road. Another vehicle then drove past the deputy without stopping. A traffic stop was subsequently initiated and a 45 year-old Hillman man was arrested for drunk driving. His passenger, a 57 year-old woman, was also jailed for drunk driving after admitting it was her vehicle in the ditch.
