A Presque Isle County woman didn’t win the jackpot in the Michigan Lottery’s BILLION DOLLAR CHALLENGE in Las Vegas, but she did come home with a prize.

The lottery held the challenge Tuesday, at the LINQ Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Fifteen Michigan players were among nearly 100 players from around the country who participated in the contest for a chance to win up to $1 billion. That included Cam May Witkowski of Hawks who did not win the big prize, but did come home with an extra $1,000.

None of the contestants won the top prize although an Ohio player won $2 million in the final round of the BILLION DOLLAR CHALLENGE.

Candace Johnson of Southfield won $60,000, the top prize for Michigan contestants.

Each player received round-trip airfare for two to Las Vegas, deluxe hotel accommodations for four days and three nights, ground transportation to and from the Las Vegas airport and hotel, and $1,000 spending money.
