Over 225 girls from seven schools in the region will be attending a special presentation on human trafficking and the dangers of social media.

The program is being hosted by the Rogers City Zonta Club on Thursday, at 11 a.m., at the Rogers City Theater.

Special Agent Michael Glennon of the Detroit FBI office is the guest speaker.  Glennon is responsible for the Violent Crimes Against Children and Human Trafficking Units in the State of Michigan.

Glennon has appeared on the Today Show, CBS Nightly News and Fox News Network.  He has been identified as one of only a few select subject matter experts within the nation regarding trafficking matters and has served as an advisor to the Department of Justice and the United States Congress.

Seventh, 8th, and 9th grade girls from Rogers City, Onaway, Posen, Hillman, Atlanta, St. John’s, and St. Ignatius will be in attendance.  The public is welcome to attend although space will be limited.
