The Alpena County library is offering some free fun for kids over the week of spring break.

The Spring Break Mash-Up! consists of four days of fun activities for children ages 5-18.

A cardboard maze challenge called Maze Up! is being held from 3-5 p.m. on Monday, March 25, for teens ages 15-18.  A Heat Up! activity for kids ages 11-14 is being held on Tuesday, from 3-5 p.m.  Attendees will create colorful chemical reactions.

Children ages 5-10 will dig into an edible planet and discover what it is made of on Wednesday, also from 3-5 p.m.

And on Friday, March 29 from 6-9 p.m., kids ages 15 and up will enjoy an Improv Star Party with a creative chaos comedy club show.  Attendees will then have an opportunity to check out the stars with telescopes.  There will also be music, coffee and hot cocoa.
