A 19 year-old man is facing charges for causing extensive damage to his grandparent’s home in Ossineke Township.

Nathan Seeley has been arraigned on one count each of malicious destruction of a building – $1,000 to $20,000, and malicious destruction of personal property – $1,000 to $20,000.

State Police troopers were sent to the Ossineke Township home shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday, after Seeley’s 70 year-old grandfather called 9-1-1 and said his grandson was damaging his home and personal property.

The victim said he and his wife were staying next door to their house because Seeley was also threatening them.

Troopers made contact with Seeley and following an investigation learned he had committed over $4,000 in damage to the victim’s home over the past few weeks.  He was subsequently arrested and jailed.

Seeley had allegedly destroyed some of his grandparent’s property on January 25 as well, but the victim’s did not want to press charges at that time.
