The City of Alpena’s general fund budget is pretty much on track through the first three months of the fiscal year that started July 1.

Clerk, Treasurer and Finance Director Anna Soik told the municipal council this week, that revenues were ahead of projections through the first quarter of the 2018-19 budget while expenses were slightly lower.

Revenues were particularly high however Soik noted that was primarily due to property tax collections, which occur in late summer and early fall.

Soik said there are no surprises in the budget and she doesn’t see any red flags on the horizon.
