Two Democratic challengers have emerged for the 106th District House seat in northern Michigan.

Incumbent Republican Sue Allor has already announced she will seek another two-year term.

Democratic candidates Lora Greene and John Norton III, both of Alpena, will square off in the August primary for a chance to challenges Allor in November.

Norton did not send out a press release, but Greene said she is entering the race “to stimulate opportunity for everyone in the district by promoting job growth, safe infrastructure, strong schools, and healthcare access.”

Greene moved to Alpena 23 years ago and is a family law attorney at a local firm she started.
