Michigan gas prices are up about a penny over the week.

AAA Michigan says the new statewide average price per gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is about $2.30.

Of the cities it surveys, AAA found the cheapest gas in the Detroit and Marquette areas where it’s $2.29 a gallon.  The highest price was found in Traverse City at $2.37.

As of Tuesday morning, drivers in the Alpena area were paying an average price of $2.22 for a gallon of regular unleaded, down six cents from one week ago.
