3 cups of water

1 medium onion

Stalks of celery


1 pound of canned tomatoes


10 ounces of frozen mixed veggies

1 pound of ground sirloin

Beef soup base

½ cup of butter

½ cup of flour

Brown and drain the sirloin. Chop the onion and celery. Dice the carrots. Put everything but the butter and flour in a crock pot. Crank up to high and cook for a couple of hours. Then cut the heat to low for another 8-10 hours. About an hour before mealtime, crank back to high. Melt the butter and mix with the flour to create a roux. Stir it until no lumpies. Dump that into the crockpot and stir to make it nice and thick! When it’s thick enough, shut off the heat and let it sit till din-din time.
