GARDEN, Charles, 73, of Alpena, formerly of Gladwin & Garden City, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Tendercare Alpena.
Charlie was born December 27, 1940 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada to William and Ada (Person) Garden and spent the majority of his career in the Detroit area working for GM.   He served in the US Navy during WWII.  Charlie was a member of the UAW and was an avid Red Wings fan.
Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Sharon, three daughters; Tammy (Bill) Forbush of Alpena, Tina (Tim) Bliznik, Holly (Paul) Ibanez both of Garden City, MI, eight grandchildren: Michael, Samantha, Benjamin, Alexzandra, Anthony, Ashleigh, Matthew, Arin, a sister, Rosetta Charleton of London, Ontario, Canada, a brother, Robert (Ann) Garden of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Albert’s on the Alley, Ford & Middlebelt Roads in Garden City, MI to enjoy food and fellowship from 3:00-6:00 PM.  This celebration of Charlie’s life will be casual so please feel free to come and go as you can.  The family chose McWilliams Funeral Home – Alpena to assist them.  On-line condolences may be registered at www.mcwilliamsfh.com
