In local sports Monday:

Baseball

Rogers City and Atlanta split a doubleheader at Schalk Memorial Field in Rogers City. The Hurons won the first game 10 to 1 and Atlanta took the second 8 to 4. Rogers City sophomore, Quintin Kelly finished the day with 2 home runs and 4 RBI’s.

Alcona was declared the winner of a rain-shortened game with Hillman in Lincoln. Alcona was leading 3 to 1when the game was called in the top of the sixth inning due to heavy rain.

Mio defeated Hale twice in an afternoon doubleheader, 14 to 2 and 7 to 3.

Softball

The Rogers City softball team improved to 18-4 on the season after sweeping Atlanta 19 to 2 and 17 to 0 in a North Star League doubleheader. Alexa Quaine threw a no-hitter in the second game.
