The Alpena Wildcat football team played host to Big North Conference rival Cadillac Friday night and were defeated by a final score of 40-14.
Alpena had momentum early in the game when quarterback Tyler Pintar connected with wide receiver Josh Bell for a 48-yard touchdown.
Cadillac quickly answered as they ran the kick-off back 84-yards for a score.
The Vikings would take the lead late in the first quarter, as Cadillac signal caller, Jalen Brooks scrambled for a 26-yard touchdown.
Alpena regained the lead when Jordan Ferguson rushed between the tackles for a 4-yard touchdown just before halftime.
The Wildcats had a 14-13 lead after the first half.
The Cadillac Vikings would go on to dominate the entire second half through the air and on the ground.
The Wildcat defense had no answer for a very potent Cadillac offense that went on to score 27 unanswered points.
With the loss, Alpena falls to 1-3 overall, and 0-2 in Big North Conference play.
The Wildcats will hit the road next Friday night to take on the Traverse City West Titans.
