The Alpena Wildcat Hockey team played host to conference rival Traverse City Central on Monday night.
The Wildcats fell behind early and ended up losing by a final score of 6-3.
Alpena struck first with a goal by Zach Nash.
Traverse City quickly gained the momentum and led by two goals after the first period.
The Trojans would continue on the attack for the entire game as they peppered Wildcat goaltenders Jesse Boilore and Bret LeTourneau for a total of over 40 shots.
Nash netted two goals, and Joey Bracken added another in the game.
With the loss, Alpena is now 7-9-1 overall.
The Wildcats will look to quickly regroup, before they host Sault St. Marie on Wednesday night at Northern Lights Arena.
