The Alpena High School girls basketball team was no match for the Petoskey Northmen Friday night as they fell at home by a score of 62-24.

The Wildcats were in trouble right from the opening tip and were unable to put together much offense at all.

Alpena was held to just three points in the first quarter.

The leading scorer for the Wildcats was Christina Kollien, who had 12 points.

With the loss, Alpena is now 2-7 overall, and 1-5 in conference play.

The Cats will now prepare for a road game against Ogemaw on Tuesday night.
