Softball

Alpena (18-8) went 3-0 at the Flint Kearsley Invitational and was named co-champions with Grand Blanc, who also finished the tournament with three straight victories.

Posen defeated Superior Central, 6 to 5, in eight innings to win the Stan Wozniak Insurance Invitational.

Baseball

Alpena (12-11) had a win and a loss at the Saginaw Heritage Invitational. The Wildcats lost to Beal City, 15 to 5, in their opening game, then bounced back to beat host Saginaw Heritage, 4 to 3.

Posen won the Stan Wozniak Insurance Invitational with an 8 to 5 victory against Oscoda in the title game.

Track and Field

The Fairview girls track team won the Falcon Invitational in West Branch after racking up 173 team points. Posen finished second with 132 and Alcona placed fourth with 80. The Fairview boys squad claimed runner-up honors with 179 points. Host Ogemaw Heights won the boys meet with a whopping 200 points.
