Track

The Alpena girls track team defeated Petoskey yesterday, 127 to 35. Taylor Stepanski and Emily McAnsh led the Wildcats with three first place finishes each. The boys squad was also victorious, defeating the Northmen 121 ½ to 41 ½.

The Onaway boys track team finished third at the Bellaire Invitational. The Cardinal’s Adam Bess had three first-place finishes including a new school record in the 100 meter dash, finishing in 10.87.

Softball

Rogers City swept Posen, 6 to 3 and 7 to 3, yesterday in the Nautical City.

Onaway beat  Gaylord St. Mary twice, 1 to 0 and 8 to 1.

Hillman shut-out Atlanta in both games of a doubleheader yesterday, 22 to 0 and 15 to 0.

Baseball

Rogers City won a pair of tough games against Posen yesterday, 2 to 1 and 6 to 3.

Hillman lost two games to Atlanta, 6 to 5 and 2 to 0.

Onaway gave Gaylord St. Mary their first loss of the season yesterday and split a doubleheader with the Snowbirds. The Cardinals won the opener, 5 to 3, but lost the nightcap, 9 to 3.
