The new statewide average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.10 in Michigan.
That’s according to AAA Michigan’s daily fuel gauge report. The new average price is down 5 cents from one week ago, but up about 39 cents a gallon from one year ago.
Of the cities it surveys, AAA found the lowest average price for gas in Saginaw and Bay City where drivers are paying $3.01 a gallon. Motorists in Marquette are paying one of the highest average prices at $3.18.
Meanwhile, the average price for a gallon of self-serve unleaded is $3.15 in Alpena, up 4 cents from one week ago.
