Police use taser to bring drunken Grayling man under control

Police used a taser gun to bring a Grayling man under control Friday.
Crawford County Deputies were called to a home on Maple Street in Grayling, on a report the male suspect might be armed with a knife and had broken into the residence.  Deputies were also told the suspect repeatedly rammed his truck into the garage door to gain entry; and that the homeowners were hiding in a back bedroom while the man was in the living room screaming and breaking things.
Officers found the suspect in the back yard of the residence.  After a short foot pursuit, deputies confronted the man who was highly intoxicated and aggressive.
The suspect threatened to assault the officers and after he failed to follow instructions, a deputy used a taser to bring him under control.
The 48 year-old man was taken into custody without further incident. His name is being withheld pending arraignment.
