ARMC trustees approve purchases and accept May finances

The Alpena Regional Medical Center (ARMC) Board of Trustees approval several purchases this week and accepted the financial results from the month of May.

The board approved the purchase of a digital fax board, a portable ultrasound and a BTE PR 30 system for rehabilitation services.  The BTE machine is the first of its kind in northeast lower Michigan, and is an entire evaluation and rehabilitation center in one computerized system. 

The three purchases total nearly $86,000.

The board also reviewed and accepted the hospital’s financial information for May, which showed a profit of $136,000 compared to a budgeted gain of $372,000.  Year to date the facility is down more than $1.2 million compared to a budgeted increase of $1.6 million.

The hospital also approved its 2010-11 fiscal year budget which calls for revenues and expenses of approximately $127,000,000.
