The Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement team (S.A.N.E.) made about a dozen drug-related arrests during the month of March, including five women from Cheboygan.

On March 9, Kimberly Ann Mitchell, 41, was arrested on two counts of delivery of Ritalin and one count of maintaining a drug house.  The following week, 49 year-old Rebecca LaHaie was taken into custody on various drug charges.  SANE detectives found heroin, methadone, morphine, Ritalin and marijuana in her home.  Two days later LaHaie was arrested a second time for delivery of marijuana, methadone and morphine.

Last week Wednesday a tip led to the arrest of 29 year-old Jolene Anne Kitchens.  SANE picked up Kitchens on her way home from the Detroit area where she allegedly went to buy heroin.  Police found heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana inside the vehicle.

And, last Thursday, 39 year-old Darci Irene LaJoice was jailed for delivery and possession of heroin.  SANE also found crack cocaine, prescription medications and a digital scale inside her Cheboygan apartment.

Another women in the residence, 51 year-old Susan Lorraine Dodder was arrested for disorderly conduct.
