Lewiston firemen save the family dog

Firemen from Lewiston heard a cry for help last week and we able to save a family pet.

A chocolate lab fell through the ice on East Twin Lake Wednesday afternoon and its owners were unable to get it out.  Several Lewiston firemen hurried to the scene and were able to rescue the dog.  No one was injured.

In other news out of Montmorency County, sheriff deputies investigated a break in near Atlanta on Friday and also arrested a 20 year-old man for operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs. 

A 47 year-old man from Alpena was arrested the same day and charged with possession of marijuana.
