Wildcats move on after 60 to 49 win.
The Alpena High School boys basketball team is moving on in the playoffs thanks to a big comeback effort against Marquette in the Art Gillespie Gym.
Marquette tied the game at 32 after two quarters but their run ended there as the Wildcats stormed back and controlled the last eight minutes of play.
Marquette’s Spencer Huss was the game’s leading scorer, finishing with 19 points.
Leading Alpena was Devin O’Neil with 17 points, while Jesse Hendricks poured in 13, including a big 3 pointer, and Sean Berryman hit the showers with 10 points.
The Wildcats move on to meet Traverse City West in Friday’s district final in Traverse City.
