Another popular festival gets underway in northeast Michigan Friday.

The 28th annual Timberfest returns to downtown Lewiston and continues through midnight Saturday.

Children will have fun with a midway of inflatables, including an obstacle course, laser tag, water slides and more.

There are also carnival games, a pie eating contest, a bubble gum blowing contest, outhouse races and much more.

The festival also features a beer tent, nightly music, a craft show, a cross-cut saw competition, an antique tractor and vintage snowmobile and motorcycle show and more.

The Corvus Cohort group will set up its reenactment of a logging camp.
