Two Alpena men, both on parole, will be sentenced in June on drug charges.

Aaron Phillips, 24, recently pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine.

He admitted to having the drug on April 9, 2018.  Phillips spent time in prison following a 2011 breaking and entering.  He will be sentenced on the drug charge June 4.

And 30 year-old Ryan O’Brien has pleaded guilty to multiple drug-related counts stemming from February 22, 2018.

That includes operating or maintaining a methemphetamine lab.

O’Brien has been convicted on drug charges on at least two other occasions.  He will be sentenced as a habitual 4th offender in June.  That raises his maximum penalty to up to life in prison.
